Studio

One room in Novi Sad. Three synths, too many cables, a shelf of philosophy books, and a window that faces nothing in particular. This section is where the process lives — unpolished, documented, occasionally embarrassing.

Session notes

Spent four hours on the 55Hz sub-bass in madness was sad. It had to be exactly the frequency where the chest recognizes it before the ear does. Ended at exactly 55.3Hz — not what I planned.

Rebuilt the modular patch from scratch. The old one sounded too clean. Now it has a tiny instability that I can't identify — I'm keeping it until I can.

Tried writing in the morning. Everything I made sounded like someone else. Cancelled it. The project only works after midnight. This is not romantic, this is empirical.

Realized the album needs silence between tracks that's as composed as the tracks themselves. Maybe 8 seconds, maybe 40. Still testing.

Decided to record one track a month in mono only, as a constraint. First one is done — it made every choice harder and better.

"The studio is not where you make music.
It's where you find out what you were trying to say."
